Founded in 2015, Technica Zen is an independent consulting firm dedicated exclusively to privacy, security, and AI governance.

Our mission is clear: “Be part of something good.”

The name Technica Zen reflects our philosophy of delivering “good (善), balanced (全), and deeply considered work (禅)” in the realm of technology.

Turning Complexity into Clarity

• HIPAA compliance for US customers

  To meet growing US demand, an organization sought to make its product HIPAA-compliant. This involved mapping regulatory obligations, designing a tailored compliance roadmap, and implementing the necessary processes to enable access to new market opportunities.

  

• Cross-selling following an acquisition

  After acquiring a new business, a company planned to launch a cross-selling strategy across the US, Europe, and Asia. The work focused on assessing data-sharing constraints, clarifying customer consent requirements, and structuring a compliant framework, ensuring that business objectives could be achieved without regulatory risk and enabling the initiative to move forward securely and efficiently.

  

• Employee presence tracking

  Following the introduction of a new WFH policy, an employer considered tracking employee attendance across global offices. This involves analyzing local regulatory requirements, defining compliant data collection practices, implementing strong access rights controls and to ensure protection of employee’s data.

  

• Leveraging AI for candidate selection

  An organization explored integrating an AI-powered feature to shortlist candidate profiles. This required evaluating ethical AI implications, assessing privacy and bias risks, and establishing clear guardrails to ensure a responsible and compliant deployment.

She has worked across diverse sectors including technology, nonprofit, education, transportation, and healthcare and specializes in:

• Designing and managing global privacy programs
• Conducting compliance audits (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, ISO 27001/27701/27017 and 27018)
• Supporting strategic cross-functional projects in privacy and AI governance

Clarisse began her career in boutique privacy law firms in Paris before joining the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL), where she supported GDPR readiness initiatives ahead of its application. Prior to joining Technica Zen, she led strategic privacy initiatives as DPO for Europe and Asia-Pacific Japan, working across Paris, Tokyo, and New York for a top French Tech company, where she continues to act as a trusted privacy advisor. She also served as Deputy DPO for the French Red Cross, where she built and implemented a comprehensive GDPR compliance program from scratch, fostering a culture of privacy and trust across 18.000 employees and 60.000 volunteers.
